Operator Instructions I would now like to turn the conference over to your host, Broadwind Energy’s Chief Executive Officer, Stephanie Kushner. Please go ahead. Stephanie Kushner: Thank you and good morning everyone. Our revenue and gross profit were driven by strong wind turbine tower sales in the United States, supported by a higher than expected level of aftermarket services activity. We are also focused on increasing gross margins through a mix of improved pricing and reduced costs. We remain committed to further strengthening our balance sheet through continued cash conservation and improved cash flow generation. We believe that these efforts, along with our long-term strategic partnerships, will position us for future growth and profitability.
And with that, I will now turn the call over to our CFO, Will Dirtz, for a review of our financial performance for the first quarter. Will? Will Dirst: Thank you Stephanie and good morning everyone. Overall, we are pleased with our financial performance for the quarter. We remain focused on further strengthening our balance sheet through cash conservation and improved cash flow generation through increased efficiency and working capital management initiatives. On Thursday, BROADWIND Inc. (NASDAQ: BWND) reported its fourth quarter financial results ending March 9, 2023. The company’s stock opened at $4.8, but closed at $3.7, a plunge of 19.3% from its last closing price of $4.6. This reflects the economic uncertainty that the company has faced in the fourth quarter as it looks to rebuild its financial position and move forward in the new year. The company attributed the decline to lower sales of its wind energy products due to decreased demand from the energy market.
However, the company was able to maintain a strong balance sheet with cash and short-term investments totaling $30 million and no long-term debt as of March 9, 2023. Despite the challenging fourth quarter, BROADWIND’s management remains optimistic in their outlook for the new year. The company has taken proactive steps to reduce costs, improve efficiency and launch new products in order to remain competitive in the wind energy industry. Live Quote…
